Assessment Procedure

50% practice General Workflow: Presentation and Maintenance of the Bar Area with Beverages  (Practical Exam) – 3 Hours for Practical Exam per unit/module

30% written(Assignment) – 1000 words exc referencing.

20% Preperation & Presentation of Beverage Practical (Practical Exam) – 2 Hour

Passmark is: 65%

Should student not Pass, the student may attempt a resit within 2/3 weeks of the result. This is applicable to all Units.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the Certificate in Mixology MQF L5 course aim to ensure that all participants have the necessary foundation to succeed in the program. Here are some standard entry requirements that may be considered:

Academic Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (MQF Level 4): A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for entry into the program.

Experience Requirements:
No Prior Experience Needed: While prior experience in the hospitality or food and beverage industry could be beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement for entry.

Skill Requirements:
Basic English Proficiency: As the course material and instruction will be provided in English, basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential

Numeracy Skills:
Basic math skills are necessary for tasks such as measuring ingredients and managing stock.

Age Requirements:
Minimum Age: Due to the nature of the program, which involves the handling of alcoholic beverages, participants must be at least 18 years old (or the legal drinking age in the jurisdiction where the course is offered).

Interview:
A brief interview may be conducted to assess the applicant’s suitability and interest in the course.
